Entering the graduate program in English Literature at California State University, Chico in Fall 2011. Graduated from Chico State in May 2011 with two Bachelor of Arts degrees--one in English and the other from the ACEJMC accredited journalism program.
Experience
Scored 610 on the GRE General Verbal. AP test scores include: 4 on AP English: Language and Composition, 5 on AP U.S. History, and 4 on AP Biology. I have informally tutored English writing and composition throughout my academic career as well as basic French 101. I love to teach! I chose to continue my post-baccalaureate education at Chico State because of its history of excellence as a teaching school. I have taken courses in linguistics, composition, literary genres, and comparative literature on the English literature side--copyediting, proofreading, and story structure on the journalism side. I've written for Chico State's award-winning newspaper, The Orion, as well as the local arts and culture upstart Sentient Magazine.
